Ella started her career in the Global Investment team in mid-2018 at Wavemaker, moving to the Global Growth team in mid-2021, where she has proven herself to be core to the success of Wavemaker.

Ella has a real passion for sustainability and people. She set up and continues to lead a Sustainability Community of 30+ people worldwide.

Outside of sustainability, Ella also sees the importance of driving DEI initiative throughout business, has worked on several projects to help with the Covid-19 pandemic, including being a key member of the team that worked on the World Health Organization pro-bono campaign and has trained to be Volunteer Vaccinator with St Johns Ambulance.

Ella started her career in the Global Investment team in mid-2018 at Wavemaker, it soon became apparent that outside of advertising Ella had a passion for sustainability and people. She set up and continues to lead a Sustainability Community of 30+ people worldwide, who work on the following 4 pillars:

1. Setting up sustainability teams in each Wavemaker market
2. Worldwide team engagement with events, comms and education
3. Working with our clients on their sustainability goals, e.g. helping them understand our Media Plan Carbon Calculator or supporting them in becoming a B-Corp
4. Getting to Net Zero, alongside GroupM and WPP

Ella represents Wavemaker globally on the Media Decarbonization programme that forms part of the Global GroupM Responsible Investment Framework, alongside WPP Net Zero Commitment. She is by far the least experienced person from any agency to be the representative and is working hard to ensure that she continuously upskills and help Wavemaker, GroupM and WPP get to Net Zero.

Outside of sustainability, Ella also worked on several projects to help with the Covid-19 pandemic, including being a key member of the team that worked on the World Health Organization pro-bono campaign. Ella used her connections to secure free media space for WHO to educate communities on the pandemic and stop misinformation. In her own time, she also trained to be Volunteer Vaccinator with St Johns Ambulance, helping to get London vaccinated as quickly and safely as possible. She did all of this on top of her day-to-day role, which was already very demanding.

In September 2021, Ella moved from Investment to the Global Growth team at Wavemaker, where she is a Project Manager. Here she has proven herself to be extremely dynamic and manages large-scale Global pitches for Wavemaker successfully. She has come from a specialist role in Investment to a much broader role in Growth and has proven how adaptable her skillset is. As a result of Ella’s commitment and broad understanding of Wavemaker, she is currently being trusted with Wavemaker’s largest pitch, that consists of working with 80+ local markets and is of extremely high importance to the business. Alongside her extremely demanding role in Growth, Ella continues to lead Sustainability for Wavemaker, globally.
