The World Media Group Annual Report 2024

It’s been a busy year for the World Media Group since Jamie Credland took over the reins as Chief Executive in January. 

Rapid change is fundamental to our industry, and as media habits change for audiences, all of our members have been developing new products to respond. This has included many launching their first genAI-driven products, the seemingly unstoppable rise of podcasts, and a continued emphasis on premium, in-person events.

Against this backdrop of change, some things remained constant. The power of trusted editorial brands to inform, inspire and engage quality audiences shows no sign of diminishing. And, the results WMG members deliver for clients continue to drive growth for the world’s biggest companies.

2024 saw the World Media Group change too, with a bigger presence at Cannes Lions, a first foray into the US market, and an increased emphasis on trade PR and building a digital audience. This has put us on track for an even bigger 2025. But the fundamentals of the Group remain constant. We continue to champion the value of trusted editorial environments for brands. We continue to celebrate the best work across the industry, to inspire others. And we continue to build connections, between WMG members, marketers and agencies, to enable the industry to respond rapidly to the changing media landscape.
