Jean Ellen Cowgill is the General Manager of Quicktake, Bloomberg’s new global news network designed for social and streaming platforms. She is also the Global Head of New Ventures, leading Bloomberg Media’s strategy and business development teams and spearheading global partnerships, growth initiatives, and new businesses like Quicktake.

Under Jean Ellen’s leadership, Quicktake is reimagining the way news stories are told for the next generation of business leaders. Expanding beyond its roots in social media, the breakthrough news network provides a global view of the biggest stories that impact the lives of the business-minded consumer.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Jean Ellen was the president of Atlantic 57, the consulting and creative agency of The Atlantic, which she launched and built to help clients evolve their own content strategy and operations. Previously, she led Atlantic Media’s corporate strategy efforts, managing the company’s growth portfolio. Prior to joining The Atlantic, Jean Ellen was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she focused on organizational and investment strategy across the private, public and non-profit sectors.

Jean Ellen speaks frequently on today’s media landscape and trends in branding, content, and user experience at major industry forums. Jean Ellen graduated as valedictorian of Dartmouth College.
