We’re delighted to announce that Katie Razzall, Culture & Media Editor for BBC News, will host this year’s World Media Awards.
A familiar voice and face across the BBC, Razzall co-presents The Media Show on BBC Radio 4 and is one of the presenters of BBC Two’s Newsnight. She joined the BBC as Newsnight Special Correspondent in 2014 and was promoted to UK Editor in 2020.
During this time, Razzall covered some of the defining stories of the period. She fronted a BAFTA-nominated investigation into Covid-19 and care homes and won an RTS Award for her extensive reporting on the Grenfell Tower fire. She regularly interviews leading cultural figures, artists and writers, such as Bill Gates, Patti Smith, Sir Philip Pullman and the late David Hockney.
Before joining the BBC, Razzall spent 15 years at Channel 4 News, starting out as a producer before going on to become a reporter and presenter.
